Sometime last year, I took the rose photo on this blog's masthead. It is of the "Berries & Cream" climbing rose that grows in my garden. When I'm out in my roses I sing this hymn and I pray.
IN THE GARDEN
Hymn lyrics by Charles Austin Miles (1912) taken from http://www.hymnlyrics.org/
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
Refrain
I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.
Refrain
Isaiah 35:1 KJV 1 "The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose."
Ephesians 5:19-20 NIV
19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[And don't forget the verse Blondie mentioned earlier in a note of hers that I posted - Colossians 3:16]
